As the summer holidays came to an end and families across the nation prepared for the return to routine, our Back to School event was there to help them find everything they needed, and at great prices too.
The event creative combined the well-recognized ‘School Shop’ branding with ASDA pricing toolkit to entice the Back-to-School shopper - promoting participating products whilst communicating value messaging, which is a key focus for many families as they shop for this time of year.
The event was highly visible in-store and online, with event-branded media located at numerous different touchpoints throughout the shopper journey, reminding the ASDA shopper of all the BTS essentials, just incase there was anything they’d forgotten!
Store media included: a Seasonal Aisle dedicated to the event, as well as; Bollard Covers, Security Covers, Digital 6 Sheets, Shelf Talkers, Barkers, Blinkers, ASDA Magazine and Radio – covering all areas of the store for maximum impact and customer engagement.
The online event featured a shoppable School Shop page on ASDA.com, where visitors to the site could browse the event and shop for the occasion. The page was accessible through Taxonomy and had extra visibility across the site with banners that featured participating SKUs and clicked through to the event. Participating suppliers were able to book banners from our Digital Media Packages to encourage shoppers to purchase their products and to take them directly to where their products were listed on site – great for conversion!
